Fruit Jam

A thick fruit spread made with fruit pieces and sugar that are cooked and reduced until thickened into a medium textured spread. The cooking process concentrates the flavor and changes the fruit pieces (chopped or pureed) into smaller, softer bits that spread easily onto bread and toast.
